Meet Jaimie with VZ Homestead

Meet Jaimie!

She provides the all-natural homemade goat’s milk soap that is for sale in our front lobby.

Jaimie started VZ Homestead in 2018 because she was having trouble finding raw goat’s milk for her special needs daughter. She bought a breeding pair of dairy goats and decided to source her own milk!

She named the homestead VZ Homestead to honor her daughter (VZ are her initials) because she’s the reason for it all!

From there, the homestead evolved into owning chickens, ducks, turkeys, quail and making all of her own hygiene products (including goat’s milk soap). She didn’t plan on the homestead becoming a business until people started loving her soap bars as much as she did and she was constantly being asked to sell some.

Jaimie’s educational background is in wildlife biology/environmental science and worked extensively with endangered species & their habitats all over the US, but mainly here in Louisiana.
